At the CTCNet National Conference this year, Hopeworks youth were asked to produce a video of the conference that would be shot and edited during the weekend event and shown at the closing awards banquet.

Steven Barrientos, Charlie Gilliard, Sabrina Gomez, Francis Ayala, and Dallion Wiggins worked with Sean Dougherty and Ed Figueroa from the Hopeworks staff.

In the week leading up to the conference the youth came in early and stayed during their lunch breaks to learn and practice video production and interviewing techniques. Once at the conference several pre-production meetings were held and then the taping began. The youth gave up some of their free time and worked long hours on Thursday and Friday.

The video was projected on a huge screen at the luncheon and received a standing ovation! It was the first time that CTCNet had been able to complete a video and the Hopeworks crew set a very high standard.
