A Sampling of Hopeworks Alumni Accomplishments

Teresa P. (Day Trainee, 2006-2007)

Teresa is in her second semester at Camden County College studying small business management.  She is working full-time while doing all her school work.  She is enjoying her time there.

Endrix A. (GIS Production Team, 2003-2004)

Endrix is two classes away from graduating Camden County College with his associates degree in business administration.  When not in school, he is the shift supervisor of a local business and he recently began writing material for a book with another Hopeworks alumnus, Josh Rivera.

Yesenia N. (GIS Production Team, 2003-2005)

Yesenia left Hopeworks for an internship at Cooper Hospital.  After graduating from Brimm Medical Arts, she went to Ramapo College in northern New Jersey to study biology.  Currently, she is a sophomore there and changed her major to environmental studies.  Her training in GIS has been accepted by the college to count towards her major.  She is active in the culture club and is looking forward to a service trip to the Dominican Republic over her winter break during which she will work with rural peoples.  When she graduates college, she would like to pursue a masters degree in urban development and planning and would then like to return to Camden to help her community.

Tiana D. (Web Production Team, 2004-2006)

Tiana recently graduated from Omega Institute’s medical assistance program with Honors and will be completing her externship with TLC Healthcare in Marlton, NJ.  She plans on returning to Camden County College in the Spring to continue the work she started towards her pre-nursing degree.  She is engaged to be married and is expecting the birth of her second child in April, 2008.

Jordan P. (Hope Through School Trainee, 2002-2005)

Jordan graduated from Pennsauken Tech and has been maintaining full-time employment.  He is engaged to be married and he and his fiancé are expecting a child.  Jordan is working hard to be accepted into the carpentry union.

Samantha M. (Hope Through School Trainee, 2004-2005)

Samantha will graduate Brimm Medical Arts in June.  She is excited about applying to lots of colleges and universities and is considering studying something in the field of medicine.

Dan C. (GIS Production Team, 2001-2002 and 2006-2007)

Dan is in his third semester at DeVry University in Philadelphia studying computer network administration and business.  This summer he completed an internship with the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, which the Exchange extended with the prospects of him earning something more permanent. 

Mark F. (Lead Trainer and Web Production Team, 2002-2005)

Mark was one of the first Hopeworks trainees to graduate Camden County College with his associates degree in liberal arts and philosophy.  Currently, he is working towards his bachelors in accounting at Harris School of Business.  He will transfer to Pierce College in the Spring to finish his degree.  He is active in the community, volunteering with the Camden Library and offering computer training to various groups.  He works for Arline Construction and Arline, LLC, where he manages the accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll for both companies, working with over 120 employees.  He is also very involved with Arline’s Online Institute, a tutoring program for children.

Sabrina G. (Lead Trainer and Web Production Team, 2005-2007)

Sabrina is in her third semester at Camden County College, studying computer information systems.  She was recently hired as a staff member of Hopeworks because of her outstanding professionalism and excellent understanding of our training and culture.

Angel R. (Web Production Team, 2002-2007)

Angel completed two semesters at Camden County College.  This Fall, he transferred to Saint Joseph’s University to major in computer game design.  Entrepreneurship led him to start www.dalegacy.com.

Javier C. (HTS, 2001-2002)

Javier attended Camden County College for two years, studying computer information systems, and then started working full-time at a local business.
