In return, the youth of Hopeworks asked the students questions about their dreams for the future. Their dreams included everything from being a football player to being an animal analyst. The focus of the seminar was how groups interacted with each other. Participants learned about perceptions of role and the impact that perception has on group function. They participated in two activities: the morning session included a experiential activity that required participants to behave as a group of six siblings deciding on long-term care for their mother. The afternoon session gave each participant the opportunity for individual coaching around an incident that caused them to feel ineffective. This training provided an opportunity for Hopeworks Staff members to learn more about how each of us interacted in a team setting.
