Hopeworks added a new member to its staff and family at the beginning of April.  We hired Patrick Keenan to serve as our formation director.  Here is his introduction:

I consider myself blessed to support the youth here.  For two years prior to coming to Hopeworks, I lived in Kensington, a neighborhood in North Philadelphia, working with disadvantaged persons and families on issues relating to urban poverty.  Additionally, I have five years of experience mentoring youth in the juvenile justice system.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in political science from St. Bonaventure University and am originally from Western New York.  Within formation, I believe we can create a space of openness that embraces and celebrates the somebodiness of each youth, empowering their strengths and focusing them on realizing their dreams with success.
