Trainee Update:
Currently, there are 21 trainees at Hopeworks. We have 15 trainees
who are in our Hope Through School Program and six others who are in our day program. Of those 21,
11 are currently earning a stipend/salary with Hopeworks. Grades continue to rise, GED's
are sought and paychecks are being earned. This spring, if financial aid comes through,
we anticipate three of our trainees beginning their college careers at Camden County College.

Faith-Based Grant: Hopeworks recently received a $45,000 grant
from the state of NJ to support the Hope Through School Program. This grant was one of a
handful given throughout the state under the Governor's faith-based initiative. We are excited
to work with the State to continue the good work with the high school youth of Camden!

Thanks for the Support!
We have been reminded often these past few months that life flourishes when we come together
and care for each other. Life requires a community to provide nurture, support and structure
in order to grow and develop. In our own way, here at Hopeworks, we work daily to nurture and
support the youth who we encounter. Many good things are happening. It is not always easy or
without challenges. However, our work is rewarding and we have been blessed with the support
of many. Thank you each for the many ways that you have supported our efforts during 2001.
We are looking forward to a great 2002. Thanks for everyone's support!
